Defination: Parasocial relationships are one-sided relationships, where one person extends emotional energy, interest, and time, and the other party, the persona, is completely unaware of the other's existence.

My opinion:

Now, this applies to everyone but I have a problem with the creators who tell their audience that they are part of his/her family.

Every time big creators tell you that you are part of their family, they might be telling you a lie. No one is on the internet is your friend or family unless you know or interacted with them personally. They sometimes don't have to time check your Dm's and notifications. They will not reply with your every interaction. Your true friends and family are outside of these screens. They will help you in your ups and downs, not a random person on the internet, so spent time with them.

If you think you are part of their family then tell them to give you a shoutout, invite you to your wedding, buy you PS5, etc. No one will.

There is a reason why there is 'followers' text not 'family members'
